On September 10th and 11th, 2016, the 4th two-day Meeting, entitled «Drugs in Health and Beauty. Present and Future» was held in Heraklion, Crete, with great success. The meeting was organized by the Pharmacists’ Cooperative of Crete and Dodecanese, under the auspices of the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Heraklion and the Pharmaceutical Association of Heraklion. For the 4th consecutive year, the Consumer Health Care department of ELPEN supported this important organization, thereby decisively contributing to the training of pharmacists.

Throughout the years, the Center has accomplished a remarkable course, which has marked it out as the largest laboratory for Experimental & Applied Biomedicine and Translational Research in Greece, but also as one of the largest in Europe.

In honor of their significant contribution to the Hellenic Surgical Society and the Greek Surgeons, Mr. Dimitrios Pentafragas,Chairman & Founder of ELPEN, and Mr. A. Papalois, Biologist and Director of ELPEN's Experimental & Research Center, received an award by the Hellenic Surgical Society (EXE). EXE is one of the oldest scientific entities in Greece, founded in 1928. In recognition of its 20 years of contributions to scientific knowledge, EXE also honored ELPEN's Experimental & Research Center, with an award.
