Irritable Bowel Syndrome (also known as spastic colitis) is a common functional disorder of the large intestine. It is a chronic recurrent disease which although it is not a life threatening, significantly affects patient’s quality of life.
The major factors associated with the IBS symptoms are:
- Changes in the microbiome composition.
- Intestinal motility disorder with the appearance of contractions associated with diarrhea or constipation, bloating, flatulence and pain.
- Food consumption that can cause increased intestinal gas
- Development of local inflammation in the bowel wall.
Posology and Instructions for use
Take 1 tablet twice a day between or before meals or according to the opinion of the doctor or the pharmacist.
Do not exceed the dosage of 4 tablets a day. In case of acute pain the dosage can be doubled. Depending on the intensity of the disorder, it is recommended to prolong the treatment from 2 to 6 weeks and to repeat it to the possible recurrence of the first symptoms.
